Join us for Hajar Reads: Ecologies. In this edition of Hajar Reads, we’re partnering with Mosaic Rooms. We’ll reflect on relationships to land that span generations and persevere despite borders, settler regimes and capitalist extractions. We’ll consider what it takes to cultivate and protect land, and how in turn land cultivates and protects us.

We’ll use short extracts from selected Hajar Press titles—including The Stone House (Yara Hawari), Curious Affinities (Sophie Chauhan) and Pearls from their Mouth (Pear Nuallak)—and extracts from Mosaic Rooms’ Dignified Life: Outliving Impossible Ecologies as a starting point for our discussion.

Extracts will be shared in advance of the session, but there’s no expectation to have read them all to take part—just come along ready to listen, think and share!
