Community Coordinator (part-time)
Hajar Press is an independent and proudly political publishing house run by and for people of colour. We publish creatively ambitious and politically engaged literature by writers of colour, with a special focus on experimental writing.
We are seeking a Community Coordinator to develop and lead our community-building work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Hajar’s mission and a mix of project management, curatorial and group facilitation skills. This is an exciting opportunity to organise events and partnerships that bring people together to imagine and build another world.
Important note: Hajar is currently run by just two people: one full-time Director and one part-time Sales Coordinator. We are looking for someone who will be able to commit to this role as part of our very small, dedicated team. We therefore request that you carefully and honestly consider your capacity to take on the role before applying.
