SYP Scotland brings you their new conference, ‘Evolving Narratives: The Future of Storytelling in a Digital World’.
Mohamed Tonsy joins Alastair Horne (Stirling Publishing Lecturer), Leah Cameron (Glasgow Zine Library) and Abigail McDougall (Publishing Scotland) on the panel ‘Trust and Transparency: Ethical Standards in Publishing’.
In an era where technology is reshaping how stories are written, published, and consumed — and where stories, in turn, shape how we see the world — the conference ‘Evolving Narratives: The Future of Storytelling in a Digital World’ brings together writers, publishers, translators and industry professionals to explore the key challenges and opportunities defining the future of storytelling.
From the power of translation in a globally connected world to the ethical considerations shaping modern publishing, this conference will ignite essential conversations on how the industry is adapting to change. We’ll examine the transformation of manuscripts into market-ready books, the rising influence of self-publishing and independent presses, and the ongoing battle to engage young readers in an increasingly digital landscape.
Through dynamic discussions, expert insights and networking opportunities, this conference will offer an in-depth look at where the industry is headed and how storytelling will continue to evolve in the digital age.
