Unobscuring Our Wants & Needs

  • Transit Bookstore Urban Farm PIK Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta, 14460 Indonesia (map)

Straight time doesn’t allow you to slow down and perceive yourself as you are. As a consequence, you had to sacrifice parts of yourself which you wish you hadn’t. You are precariously balancing on a lotus leaf, anxiously wondering when will you finally sink.

In this workshop, set in the cozy atmosphere of Transit Bookstore PIK, we invite you to reconnect with your inner child and reflect on those repressed thoughts and emotions concerning failures and diverged timelines through writing a memoir with our in-house mentors, Fai and Jasmine.

Featuring an intimate roundtable on the chapters of Through an Addict’s Looking-Glass by Waithera Sebatindira, published by fellow small publisher: the precious Hajar Press.

Mark your calendar: Friday 11 August 2023, 15:30–17:30 WIB.

Commitment fee (includes drink and snacks from Moro Bakeshop next door!):
Rp105K for on-going IWEC students
Rp120K for the public
